ABOUT WENDY

Wendy grew up with horses and dogs in New Zealand, and after progressing through Pony Club, worked with horses across the disciplines while producing her own eventers successfully up to CCI3* (now 4*).  A spell in the early 90's as a working pupil in the UK, was eventually followed by a permanent move to the Northern Hemisphere - firstly to Ireland, then back to the UK - producing young event horses with success in both countries.

Wendy's extensive experience in producing horses, coupled with an early interest in equine therapy highlighted to her the importance in maintaining physical and emotional health through manual techniques and training the horse for optimum soundness and athleticism.

Her background as an international rider gives her unrivalled insight to the requirements of competition horses, so she ideally placed to recognize reasons for shortcomings in performance, help correct physical issues and give advice on adaptations to exercise plans in order to achieve optimum results.

These skills as a rider and trainer, and commitment to improving her professional knowledge base and capabilities give her a unique perspective on improving the physical health and welfare of horses.

With a lifetime in the equine industry, she specialises in Equine therapy, but has limited availability for other companion and farm animals, and she has a particular affinity for helping keep elderly dogs comfortable.
